David “Big Dave” Adams

David Allen Adams, 50, of Osage, died Oct. 14, 2011, at Osage Hospital from a melanoma. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the church.

David was born in Osage on Sept. 1, 1961, the son of Dean and Veronica (Schrage) Adams. David married Janelle Marple on June 19, 1993, in Charles City. He worked at North Country Equipment in Osage.

David is survived by his wife, Janelle of Osage; two children, Rachael and Zach, at home; parents, Dean and Veronica Adams of Stacyville; two sisters; two brothers; mother- and father-in-law, Linda and Chuck Marple of Cedar Rapids; and brother and sister-in-law, Neal and Jane Marple of Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the David Adams Memorial Fund.
