Ada Beth Minnihan, 67, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. Services: 8:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Jude Catholic Church by the Rev. Mark Reasoner. Burial: 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, Jefferson. Friends may visit Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home and Saturday after 8:30 a.m. at the church.
Beth is survived by her brother, Michael (Debra) Springer of Creston, Iowa; two sons, Stephen (Sarah) Minnihan of Neenah, Wis., and Seth (Jessica) Minnihan of Sacramento, Calif.; daughter, Megan (Ryan) Torkelson of Minneapolis, Minn.; three grandchildren, Sabrina, Anthony and Graham; and several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Her husband, Thomas (1989), and brother, Noel Springer, preceded her in death.
Beth was born Oct. 26, 1946, in Newton, the daughter of Lester and Joy Springer. She married Thomas Minnihan on June 10, 1967, in Newton. Beth graduated from Iowa State University and was very proud to be a Cyclone. She worked for many years with the Cedar Rapids School District.
