Ada Bell Diveley, 84, of Center Point, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab in Vinton, Iowa. Funeral Service: 10:30 am. Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Visitation: 4 – 7 p.m. Friday, November 22 at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery.
Ada was born July 27, 1940, in Ramsey, Illinois, the daughter of Glen Clifford Rhodes and Josie Lenora Williams. She was united in marriage to Scotty E. Diveley on February 11, 1956, in Ramsey, Illinois. She worked as a CNA at Winslow House Care Center in Marion, Iowa. Ada loved spending Sundays with family and also loved camping, fishing, hunting, and listening to music. You always knew when the Packers were playing before you made it into the house because she’d be yelling at the TV. She was a member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall. Ada will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Scotty Diveley of Center Point; children, Anthony (Annette) Diveley of Center Point, Jeffrey (Stacy) Diveley of Shellsburg, Deborah (Victor) Masterhan of Central City, and Chad (Kathy) Diveley of Center Point; nieces that she raised, Kathy Linden of Marion, Iowa, and Tamela “Tammy” Rine of Hiawatha, Iowa; and beloved grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt to many children that she loved dearly.
Ada was preceded in death by her parents, thirteen siblings, granddaughter, Lindsay, and numerous other beloved family members.
