Ackman, Burdette O.
Burdette O. Ackman, 91, of Arlington, Iowa, died Friday afternoon, July 9, 2010, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, at Arlington United Methodist Church, with Pastor Lisa Schroeder officiating. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Arlington and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment: Taylorsville Cemetery, Arlington, with graveside military rites by Dean Harkin American Legion Post 219 of Arlington.
Burdette is survived by a daughter, Barb (Harry) Nolda of Strawberry Point; three grandchildren, Nancy (Kevin) Meyer of Knoxville, Becky (Joe) Helle of Hiawatha and David Squires (Nichole Peterson) of Manchester; and six great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Meyer, Trevor Meyer, Grant Helle, Coby Meyer, Blake Helle and Savannah Squires.
Memorials may be given in his name to the Cedar Valley Hospice Home of Waterloo.
