Abby Rosencrans, 60, of Anamosa, died Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at UnityPoint-St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Rev. Kathryn Newhall will officiate a Celebration of Life Service which will take place at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa, where friends may call from 12:00 pm to the time of service. Abby Ann Havener was born on June 29, 1964, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Charles and Mary Ellen (Fishburn) Havener. She was a member of the Illiopolis High School Class of 1982. She attended the Tom Nolans Academy of Beauty Culture. Over the years she worked at Corner Cutters, Walmart, Amerigas, and most recently at Jones County Community Services. She married Michael Rosencrans at the Little Brown Church in Nashua on May 30, 2003.
She enjoyed travelling, going to the casino, and playing league pool. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. A loving wife, mom, and GG, she will be remembered as a faith filled, kind, caring, and giving person who loved spending time with her many friends and especially her family.
She will be cherished by her husband of 21 years, Michael, her daughter and son-in-law Holly and Tim Rushford, her grandson Cayden Rushford, her siblings Randy (Linda) Havener, Gary Havener, Amy Willis, Todd (Carol) Havener, and Terry (Carol) Havener, her mother-in-law Shirley Rosencrans, and in-laws Debra Havener, Marcy (Wade) Wamre, and Michele (Cary) Loehr.
She is reunited with her parents Charles and Mary Ellen, her brothers Jeff and Chris, her father-in-law Wayne Rosencrans, and her brother-in-law Greg Willis.
