Youtube Video Offers Insight into bank robbery suspect's Past

In a video Ryan Randles posted to the website Youtube, Randles describes a bitter custody battle for his children.  The video was posted on October 19th, the same night that police say Randalls robbed a hotel in Williamsburg.  In the video Randles focused mainly on his kids.

“I was with my children for five years, ever since I was divorced, every force in the world has been against me to see my kids,” Randles said in the video.

Randles has no known address.  Police say Randles spent about three weeks living with someone in Williamsburg.  They say he left town shortly after he robbed the County Bank.  On the Youtube video, Randles never makes direct reference to where he is, but he does indicate that he's lived in Iowa in the past.

“I'm not perfect and I've screwed up a lot of my life.  I lost my kids.  I left my wife not my kids.  I left Des Moines because nobody would let me see my kids,” pleaded Randles.

Admitting to faults was a common theme throughout the video.

“I had my extra marital affairs, this was eleven years ago, you know?” said Randles, “I went to prison for some white collar {explitive} stuff.  I did my time, got out on parol.”

Randles remains in the Polk County jail were he is being held on seven charges, including previous warrants from multiple Polk County agencies.
