Yellowbook CEO to step down

Joe Walsh, CEO of Yellowbook, plans to step down.
The resignation was announced to employees in an email on Thursday, Oct. 20.
“I believe we have the right strategic initiatives in place to grow our company into new markets and increase the profitability of our business," Walsh said in the email. "Now is therefore the right time to hand over to someone who can lead our company into the next stage of its life.”
Yellowbook, the United States division of the United Kingdom-based Yell Group, has major operations in Cedar Rapids. The company has been expanding its scope from print directories to digital products under Walsh's leadership in the last few years.
Bob Gregorson will assume Walsh's duties on an interim basis. He currently leads the company's Yell Connect business.
Walsh will be succeeded on an interim basis by Bob Gregerson, who currently runs Yell Connect. A search in underway for a permanent replacement.
