Worker injured at Cedar Rapids manfacturing facility

A 42-year-old manhad part of his right hand amputated in a workplace accident Tuesday morning in Cedar Rapids, officials said.
Firefighters and an ambulance responded to J.E. Adams Industries, 1025 63rd Ave. SW, around 7 a.m. for a report of a man stuck in machinery. The man was transported to a hospital by ambulance.
The man's name was not released, due to health privacy laws.
J.E. Adams manufactures parts and accessories for self-service car washes, according to its website. President and CEO Lonnie Schwartz declined to comment on the incident.
