Police are searching for two men who robbed a woman inside a downtown parking ramp Monday morning.
Officers responded at 9:47 a.m. to the Five Seasons Parkade at the corner of First Avenue East and Fifth Street. The 23-year-old female victim told police she had her purse taken inside the parkade about 10 minutes earlier.
Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said the woman had just gotten out of her car on the fifth level when she was approached by two men. The men pushed her up against the car, grabbed the purse and ran off, Hamblin said.
The woman was not injured.
The two suspects are described as black males, both about 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, police said. One was wearing a red hat and the other wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, police said.
Officers were combed the area, looking for clues and a K-9 unit dog sniffed around. No arrests had been made by noon.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 1-800-CR-CRIME or (319) 286-5491.
