Woman recovering after being thrown from car in Cedar Rapids

Police said a woman is recovering after she was thrown from a car that flipped over Saturday night near Kirkwood Community College.
Officers were called to the scene around 10:30 p.m. when the car driven by Aaron Brill, 20, of Cedar Rapids, flipped onto its top near the on-campus workout center. Police said the car was speeding before the accident.
One of three passengers in the car, Anna Christopher, 20, of Cedar Rapids, was ejected from the back seat, police said. She suffered a broken pelvis and was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
A 21-year-old man and a 20-year-old man who were also in the car were not hurt.
Brill was cited for reckless driving.
