Woman hurt when taxi rear-ends car in southwest Cedar Rapids

UPDATED: One person was hurt when a taxicab rear-ended a car on Williams Boulevard SW this morning.
The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of 10th Avenue SW.
Kelleen Yancey, 45, of Cedar Rapids was traveling southwest on Williams Boulevard SW around 7:30 a.m. and was waiting for traffic to clear before turning left. Her car was struck from behind by Century Cab driver Patrick Kelly, 41, of Coralville.
Kelly was cited for failure to maintain control. Yancey was taken to St. Luke's Hospital for minor injuries, police said.
The collision caused heavy damage to the back end of the car and shattered its back window.
One lane of Williams Boulevard was closed while officers investigated.
