No one was hurt when a sport-utility vehicle went off a slick road and rolled into a river Sunday near Anamosa.
Haily A. Sams, 18, of Anamosa, was westbound on Buffalo Road around 12:15 p.m. when she lost control about 2 1/2 miles west of Anamosa, authorities said. The SUV she was driving went off the snow- and ice-covered roadway, went through the east ditch and rolled once before stopping on its wheels in the Buffalo River, according to the Jones County Sheriff's Office.
