Woman allegedly tried to hit boyfriend with car

An Iowa City woman was arrested Friday after she allegedly tried to hit her boyfriend with a vehicle.
According to a criminal complaint, DaLaina Porter, 30, of 2407 Bitter Sweet Court in Iowa City, allegedly admitted to intentionally driving her vehicle at her boyfriend to hurt him. The two had been living together for a year.
Porter ran her car into another vehicle during the incident. Police said Porter put nearby pedestrians in danger.
Porter was charged with going armed with intent, domestic abuse assault with intent or displaying a weapon, and reckless driving.
She is being held in the Johnson County Jail on $10,000 bond.
