Woman accused of stabbing man in face with cooking fork
Waterloo police arrested a woman after she stabbed a man in the face late Thursday night.
Darlene Oden, 57, got in an argument with Wesley Polk, 49, and then stabbed him in the eye and cheek at 1009 West Fourth St. in Waterloo. Officers searched the home and found a cooking fork they believe was used in the stabbing.
Oden faces charges of willful injury and going armed with intent.
Polk was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for surgery. His injuries are non-life-threatening.
