West Virginia motorcyclist killed in crash on Interstate 380 near Center Point

CENTER POINT - A West Virginia man was killed Friday morning in a motorcycle crash in a construction zone on Interstate 380 near Center Point.
According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, Terry Dwaine Spencer, 60, of Milton, W.V., was southbound on I-380 north of Center Point at 11:17 a.m. Friday when his motorcycle struck a stationary traffic control device in a construction zone. The device was attached to an Iowa Department of Transportation Vehicle and was being used to divert traffic from the right lane into the left lane, according to the news release.
Spencer was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
