Weather picture gets soggy in Eastern Iowa later today
Mar. 8, 2011 6:55 am
It's not clear exactly what will happen later today, but one thing is certain: precipitation is on the way.
Rain will start to spread into Eastern Iowa from the south by mid to late afternoon. Overnight tonight, locations south of Highway 20 will likely stay as all rain, but there will be a sharp cut-off around Waterloo and points northwest, where a few inches of snow may fall, KCRG-TV9 First Alert Storm Team meteorologist Kaj O'Mara says.
Wednesday looks to be a colder day with scattered snow showers and temperatures a few degrees below normal. Then things are expected to warm by week's end, with highs near 50 on Friday.
