Weather outlook: Rainy Friday, pleasant weekend
We'll be closing out the week on a rainy note, but take heart -- this weekend looks just fine for any outdoor activities you might have planned.
Some showers and even a few isolated thunderstorms will be in the picture through this morning, KCRG-TV9 First Alert Storm Team meteorologist Kaj O'Mara says. But with the heavy cloud cover, there's essentially no risk of severe weather today, which is good news.
Temperatures probably won't move much today, either, with highs in the upper 70s expected.
The showers will taper off this afternoon and move east late tonight, leaving us with a dry weekend. Highs are expected around 80 Saturday and in the mid 80s Sunday before storm chances return to the forecast late Monday.
