Water main break leads to Alburnett boil order

The city of Alburnett is under a boil order.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is recommending residents to boil their water for at least the next 48 hours, because of a water main break.

The city will take water samples Wednesday and Thursday and will submit results to the DNR.

Those tests need to come back negative before the DNR will lift the boil order.
