Watch out for suspicious vehicles in your neighborhood

The Cedar Rapids Police Department is asking for the public to be a good neighbor by watching for suspicious vehicles and persons in their neighborhood.

Police have been called to several daytime burglaries in Cedar Rapids in which witnesses have seen two black males in a dark vehicle. These subjects knock at the front door of a residence. If no one answers, they go to the rear of the house and force entry into the home.

Although there have been similar burglaries in other parts of Cedar Rapids, most recently, burglaries of this nature have occurred in the 1000-1200 blocks of 30 St NE, in the Daniels Park area and in the 3000 block Carroll Dr SE.

Police are asking the public to call police if they see suspicious vehicles or people in their neighborhoods.
