Vigil held for missing hiker who has Iowa City ties
IOWA CITY- Friends and family attended a vigil to show support for missing hiker and Iowa City-native James Nelson on Saturday.
Nelson, 31, who now lives in Chicago, went missing in the Holy Cross Mountain Range in Colorado the first week of October.
Cathy Nelson, the mother of James, says community support keeps her going.
“I find that I have more strength when I have people around me. The more I hear that people are still keeping my family in their prayers, it makes me feel stronger,” Cathy Nelson said.
