IOWA CITY - As reported yesterday, Iowa City schools Superintendent Lane Plugge has interviewed for a job in Council Bluffs.
Plugge has worked for the Iowa City school district since 1999 and is in the first year of a three-year contract. (He works on a three-year contract that, at least in the past few years, is extended by a year annually.)
You can read the contract below. I don't see anything in there that deals with a buyout or any penalties against Plugge should he voluntarily leave during the term of the deal.
