An eastbound Iowa Interstate Railroad engine pushed the truck about 30 yards before the truck flipped onto its top.
Steward and Dirks were taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with non-life-threatening injuries, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office reported. Steward was listed in good condition. No condition was available for Dirks.
The engineer of the train, Edward Bowman, and the conductor, Stanley Thomas, were uninjured, the sheriff's office said.
