UPDATE: A Cedar Rapids man tried to escape from police as he was being led toward the Linn County Jail Thursday.
35-year-old Andre Taylor was captured a short time later after a short foot chase.
Police originally arrested him for drunk driving and driving with a suspended license. He attempted to flee as police were walking him to a side door at the jail to be processed for the charges. He now also faces charges of interference with official acts.
