Van clips pedestrian in southeast Cedar Rapids
A pedestrian was clipped by a van as he took a late-night walk along Mount Vernon Road, authorities said.
Around 10 p.m. Monday, Jhamal Wade, 26, of Cedar Rapids, was struck in the right hand by a westbound van driven by Jason Mahan, 37, of Cedar Rapids, near Rosedale Road, according to the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
Wade was taken to Mercy Medical Center to be treated for injuries to his hand and intoxication, authorities said. An investigation was continuing.
