University of Northern Iowa to hold vigil for student found in Iowa River

The University of Northern Iowa plans to hold a vigil for former student Nathan Twedt at 8 p.m. today.
The event takes place at the Campanile, according to UNI's official Twitter account.
Twedt's body was pulled from the Iowa River near the Benton Street Bridge at 7:48 p.m. Saturday, according to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.
Twedt, 20, was from Marion.
The investigation into Twedt's death is ongoing. Anyone who has information or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call the sheriff's non-emergency dispatch line at (319) 356-6020.
The Iowa City Police Department, Iowa City Fire Department, Johnson County Ambulance, Johnson County Metro Dive Team and the Johnson County Medical Examiner also responded to the incident.
Twedt's visitation takes place from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. Funeral Services are held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at First United Methodist Church in Marion.
