Two young people dead in crash near Maquoketa

NEAR MAQUOKETA – Two young people were the victims in a deadly crash Saturday morning near Maquoketa.
The Iowa State Patrol confirms Tanner Schreiber, 20, of Maquoketa was driving a 1994 Ford Mustang before five a.m. on Highway 64, west of the city, when he passed another vehicle but lost control of the Mustang and it started to roll.
Both Schreiber and a passenger, Brittany Greene, 17, also of Maquoketa, died from their injuries after being taken away to Jackson County Regional Health Center.
Investigators say both victims were thrown from the car.
