Two suspects sought in Cedar Rapids Cigarette Outlet robbery

Police are still searching for the two men who robbed the Cigarette Outlet on 1404 First Ave. NE Thursday night.
Sgt. David Dostal said that two black men entered the business at around 9:34 p.m. and forced the store's two employees to the ground at gunpoint. The suspects fled on foot after taking money, cigarettes and an Iowa Lottery register.
The clerks were not harmed in the armed robbery, and no shots were fired.
Police say the suspects are black, 35 to 40 years old. One suspect stands roughly 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs around 160 pounds, and he wore a white or light tan jacked. The second suspect stands approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs roughly 175 pounds, and he wore a long black coat and had his face covered with a scarf.
The investigation is still ongoing.
