Two men accused of fake robbery in Peosta

Two men have been accused of staging a fake robbery at a Peosta truck stop.
The Dubuque County Sheriff's Office said an attendant at the truck stop and his roommate face charges in Saturday night's incident. They're being held in the county jail on suspicion of second-degree theft.
The Sheriff's Office said the attendant claimed to have been robbed at gunpoint, but an investigation showed that the two Dubuque men orchestrated the robbery. More than $4,000 taken from the store was recovered.
No further details were available Sunday.
