Two hurt when semi, van collide in Toledo

Two people were hurt when a semi-trailer truck and a van collided Sunday in Toledo.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. along old Highway 30 near the Oakland Drive intersection. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a van driven by Mario Varela-Garmendia, 38, of Toledo, crossed the center line and struck a semi driven by Gerald Fuller, 49, of Toledo.
Both drivers were taken by ambulance to Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center, authorities said. Information about their conditions was not immediately available.
