Two people were hurt when a sport-utility vehicle driven by the Fayette County Emergency Management coordinator crashed Wednesday morning.
Michael McCloud, 44, of Maynard, was northbound on Highway 150 about two miles south of West Union around 8:10 a.m. when he lost control, according to the Iowa State Patrol. The SUV rolled into the ditch, coming to rest on its top.
McCloud and 17-year-old Christopher McCloud, of Halbur, were injured. They were both taken by ambulance to Palmer Lutheran Health Center in West Union. They had both been discharged by mid-day on Wednesday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The SUV is used by McCloud for emergency management purposes, the patrol's accident report said.
