A Cedar Rapids woman is charged with prostitution for offering an undercover officer sex for money, and a Springville woman is charged with arranging the weekend encounter, according to court documents.
Tina Krejci told the officer she would perform a sex act for $100 Saturday in the parking lot at the Hy-Vee store at 2001 Blairs Ferry Rd. NE, according to the complaint charging her with prostitution, an aggravated misdemeanor. Krejci, 43, of 392 26th St. SE, was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after officers found she was carrying two pipes for smoking crack cocaine, the complaint said.
Monica C. Smith, 22, Springville, is charged with pimping, a felony, for arranging the encounter, according to court documents. Smith was also charged with driving on a suspended license.
Both women were released from jail after initial court appearances Monday.
