Truckloads of food coming to Cedar Rapids families

A crew from Feed the Children is in Cedar Rapids to record local residents' efforts to cope with the economic downturn -- a visit that will end Saturday with the distribution of food to more than 1,600 families.
Doyle Bohannan is in the area to interview families affected by unemployment. He would like to talk to families with children 6 to 11 who are verbal and willing to talk to the Feed The Children network. Feed the Children will bring four truckloads of food, enough to feed 1,600 families for a full week. The trucks will arrive at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the parking lot of First Lutheran Church, 1000 Third Ave. SE.
