Donna J. Fults, 75, of Troy Mills, was airlifted to Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids after a collision Monday afternoon at Highway 13 and Central City Road.
Fults was driving north on Highway 13 about 3:20 p.m. when she turned left at the intersection and into the path of a pickup bring driven south by Donald Sandquist, 30, of Mount Vernon, Linn County Sheriff's Sgt. Gary VanCura said.
Fults, who was alone in her car, was airlifted “with what appeared to be life-threatening injuries,” according to VanCura. Sandquist, who was also alone, declined medical treatment at the scene. Both drivers wore seat belts.
Information on Fults' condition hasn't been released. The accident remains under investigation.
