Trial for Iowa mayor, nephew delayed

Trial for the mayor of Dunkerton and a relative over a disputed traffic stop has been delayed.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier says Mayor Mikes Schares and his nephew, Tom Adamson, were to be tried on Tuesday, but it was postponed at the request of the defense because a witness wasn't available.
Their trial is now set for May 15.
Schares and Adamson are
charged with interference with official acts and harassment of a public official. The charges stem from a Dec. 2 traffic stop, when a Dunkerton police officer ticketed Adamson's wife for speeding.
