Trial date set in June for CR man accused of breaking infant’s ribs, clavicle

CEDAR RAPIDS – The child endangerment trial of a Cedar Rapids man accused of physically abusing his infant daughter is set June 20 in Linn County District Court.
Timothy Holderfield, 25, was charged after a six week investigation. He is accused of abusing the infant on three different occasions in which she suffered a broken clavicle and ribs, and brusing to her chest and face.
Police were call to St. Luke's Hospital Jan. 21 when Holderfield brought his daughter to the emergency room, and claimed he heard a “popping” sound while he was burping her, according court documents.
According to the criminal complaint, Holderfield had “exclusive supervision of the child when the injuries were inflicted.”
A pre-trial conference was also set June 9.
