Toledo man killed in crash along Highway 30

A head-on crash along Highway 30 killed one person on Monday. The collision happened at about 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 21, just north of Belle Plaine.
The state patrol says Joseph Straits, 26, of Toledo, was killed in the crash. Two of Strait's passengers went to the hospital with injuries.
The state patrol says charges are pending against the driver of the other vehicle, Laine Dennison, 47, of North Liberty.
The crash shut down Highway 30 for more than two hours.
