NEW TESLA FOR UI SIMILATOR — The University of Iowa's National Advanced Driving Simulator picked up another tool in its research efforts — a brand-new Tesla Model S 75D. The white 2017 electric car is nothing special — anyone can buy the car off the lot — but driving simulator director Daniel McGehee said it represents another key tool for the program's efforts in autonomous vehicle research. ANOTHER BLOW TO TRAFFIC CAMERAS — The Iowa Supreme Court has dealt another blow to traffic camera tickets in Cedar Rapids, Des Moines and Muscatine. Iowa's high court is the second to reject requests to continue issuing traffic tickets during an appeal of an Iowa Department of Transportation order to turn off or move traffic cameras in the three cities, according to a ruling filed on Wednesday by Justice Brent Appel. LOEBSACK JOINS LAWSUIT AGAINST TRUMP — U.S. Rep. Dave Loebsack, D-Iowa, joined a lawsuit that accuses President Donald Trump of violating the part of the U.S. Constitution that forbids an officeholder from accepting any 'present, Emolument, Office, or Title' without lawmakers' consent. SOLON COACH WELCOMED BACK TO CCA — Jim White coached at Clear Creek Amana from 1995-2012, leading the Clippers to six state tournament titles and 13 tournament appearances. But on Wednesday, White returned to the field he used to call home with No. 4 Solon (15-5) to take on Clear Creek Amana (7-15), and had to switch to the visiting dugout.
