Three teens arrested in Cedar Rapids car burglary spree

Police have arrested three Cedar Rapids teens in a string of car burglaries.
Early Wednesday morning around 2 a.m., police noticed an individual acting suspiciously inside a parked vehicle in the alley of430 S. Dodge St. Police identified a Shadow Obadal, 17, of Cedar Rapids who police said was involved in car burglaries in the area.
Police said Donovan Ross, 18, and Lindsey Steward, 19, as being involved in breaking into several vehicles where windows were broken to gain entry with stereo equipment and other missing electronics.
Obadal was charged with third-degree burglary and Ross and Steward were each charged with three counts of third-degree burglary and three counts of third-degree criminal mischief.
Ross and Steward are both being held at the Johnson County Jail on $6,000 cash-only bonds. Obadal was released to a parent.
The incident remains under investigation and additional charges are pending.
