Three Iowa City teens face charges after home invasion

Three Iowa City young men face a field of felony charges after an attempted home invasion in the east part of town.
Police said that at around 10 p.m. Monday night, three suspects entered a house at the 2200 block of Muscatine Avenue, armed with a knife and a large stick, and demanded the three residents give them money. A struggle ensued between the suspects and the residents that sent one of the residents to the hospital for a laceration on his hand. One of the suspects was also injured.
The three suspects then fled on foot from the house.
Police arrested Loel R. Howieson II, age 19, of 340 Palomino Court; Lucas J. Pumfrey, 16, of 2314 Lakeside Drive;
Artis L. Mason III, 17, of 1303 DeForest Ave, in connection with the incident.
The adult and two minors are being charged with first degree robbery, burglary, and being armed with intent and assault while committing a felony.
