Three people were arrested Friday after police say they were cooking methamphetamine.
Suspicious activity was reported around 12:30 a.m. Friday at 400 35th St. SE, and the officers who responded found three adults and a 9-year-old child in the presence of ingredients used to make meth, police said.
Officer Melissa Henderson said officers executed a search warrant at the house. They did not find an active meth lab, but discovered ingredients used to make the drug, including anhydrous ammonia and lithium, inside the house, outside the house and in a vehicle associated with the house, police said.
Police arrested Tyson Kidd, 34, who lives at the house with his mother, along with Kidd's girlfriend, Shayna M. Bark, 25, of Ely, and Jacob W. Brisbin, 24, of Cedar Rapids.
All three are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and two counts of possession of precursors.
