Dubuque police have arrested three men in an overnight robbery.
Police responded to the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Earl Drive after a report of suspicious activity involving people loading items into a vehicle at about 2:20 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers stopped a vehicle matching the description and found items stolen in a burglary at an apartment in the 1600 block of Butterfield Road.
The occupants of the apartment reported the residence had just been burglarized by three subjects armed with guns and wearing masks. The items recovered from the vehicle matched those reported stolen during the burglary.
The investigation led police to an apartment in the 1500 block of Butterfield Road, where police arrested Kevin McGovern, 20, Brandon Horkheimer, 19, and Deangelo Jones, 20.
All three were arrested on charges of first-degree burglary, a Class B felony punishable by up to 25 years incarceration. Additional items were recovered by police during the search of the apartment.
Horkheimer was also charged with interference with official acts due to his actions during the initial traffic stop.
All three suspects are each being held in the Dubuque County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
