Authorities arrested three people late Wednesday night after one subject ran from officers following a traffic stop.
Cedar Rapids police Sgt. Thomas Grubb said authorities arrested two people, one man and one woman, who had outstanding warrants, and another woman for disorderly conduct. Officers tried to stop the man around 11 p.m. for a traffic violation, but he took off, Grubb said, adding the man had around four warrants for his arrest.
Officers surrounded the house at 386 16th St. SE and, after several minutes and loud commotion on the house's porch, walked a shirtless man to a squad car. Shortly after, officers handcuffed a woman who was screaming profanities at the scene of the arrest. Finally, officers walked another woman to a different squad car.
Several Cedar Rapids police squad cars lined the streets near 16th Street SE. Around 10 officers surrounded the scene.
Grubb said he had no information about any of the warrants, nor did he know the subjects' names.
