Teens plead not guilty in Cedar Rapids murder

The two teenagers charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Kevin Bell last month pleaded not guilty this morning.
Gabriel Taylor, 17, and Denem A. Null, 16, both filed written pleas in Linn County District Court.
Investigators believe that Null and Taylor broke into an apartment at 113 First Ave. SW on Jan. 11. Bell, 26, was inside and was shot in the head. He died the next morning at an Iowa City hospital. Null is accused of firing the gun that killed Bell.
Both Null and Taylor are being held at the Linn County Juvenile Detention Center on $1 million cash bail.
