Teen killed in Linn County farm accident

A 15-year-old boy has died from injuries he sustained Monday when he became trapped by a skid loader as a man was using it to move a hay bale on a farm in rural Marion, according to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
First responders were called at 5:26 p.m. to the farm, 1777 Martin Creek Rd. Gerald Munier, 74, of rural Marion, had been moving the bale when 15-year-old Logan Paul, of Ryan, got trapped between the machine and its bale spear attachment, a sheriff’s news release states.
The teen was taken to the hospital and later died from his injuries, according to the news release.
The incident remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
