Task force seizes over $1 million in drugs, property in September

The Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force reached a new level for drugs and property seized in one month, officials announced today.
During the month of September 2010, the task force seized over $1 million in drugs and property.
The task force seized several pounds of drugs with an estimated street value of over $988,000. The task force seized approximately three pounds of marijuana, four pounds of crack cocaine and 11 pounds of powder cocaine.
The task force seized property valued at over $102,000, including three cars, two trucks, one motorcycle and two handguns.
The task force made nine arrests in the month of September.
The task force is composed of the Waterloo Police Department, Cedar Falls Police Department, Waverly Police Department, Bremer County Sheriff's Office, Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office, LaPorte City Police Department, Evansdale Police Department, Hudson Police Department, and Federal Bureau of Investigation.
