CEDAR RAPIDS - Two men forced their way inside a Cedar Rapids apartment Monday and headed toward a woman before deciding to run away, police said.
The incident happened shortly before 1 p.m. after the woman heard someone pounding on her door at 4002 21st Ave. SW. According to the police report, two men broke glass in the door and barged inside.
The woman went into a bedroom, locked the door and called 911. The two men followed and busted through the door, according to the woman. When she told them she was on the phone with police, they left the area.
Officers scoured the area, but were unable to find anyone matching the description. Both were described as black males, between 20 and 25 years old, around 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds, police said.
No arrests have been made in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (319) 286-5491.
