Suspects pull gun to get wallet in Cedar Rapids

Police are seeking additional details after a man reported he was robbed in a Cedar Rapids alley.
According to a police report, Brian Varner, 44, of Cedar Rapids, reported he was robbed by two men around 8 p.m. Thursday in the 1300 block alley between Second and Third avenues SE. Varner told officers one of the men pushed him down, pulled a handgun and demanded money.
The suspects took Varner's wallet and its contents, including about $80, according to the report. One of the men then kicked Varner and they ran toward First Avenue East. Varner was taken to St. Luke's Hospital for minor injuries, police said.
One suspect was described as a black male in his 20s, about 5-foot-6, with a thin build. He had his hair in braids down to his shoulders.
The second suspect was a black male in his 40s, about 6 feet tall with a mustache, wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt.
