Nov. 17, 2010 7:07 am
A Chicago man suspected of killing an Iowa City woman has turned himself in to police.
Chicago news outlets are reporting 22-year-old Derrick Pearson turned himself in Monday after being identified as a suspect in the February shooting.
He allegedly killed 44-year-old Maryrosa Russell-Green.
Family members say the mother of three moved to Iowa from Chicago to find a job and escape dangerous city life.
Police say she and 28-year-old Charles King were parked on a street on Chicago's south side. That's when someone fired gun shots from another car.
Both Green and King died.
