South Carolina company is big winner of Cedar Rapids BBQ Roundup
CEDAR RAPIDS - Big Boned BBQ of Ravenel, S.C., was a big winner at this year's Cedar Rapids BBQ Roundup. It took home three awards and $1,750 in prizes.
The winners were:
People's Choice Award:
Big Boned BBQ.
Best BBQ Ribs:
Porky N Beans of Port St. Lucie, Fla., first; Big Boned BBQ, second; and Porky Chicks of Farmington, Ariz., third.
Best BBQ Pulled Pork:
Johnson's BBQ of Chesapeake, Va., first; Porky N Beans, second; and Big Boned BBQ, third.
Prizes are $1,000 for first place, $500 for second and $250 for third.
The BBQ Roundup, a Freedom Festival event, opened Thursday and wrapped up Sunday night.
