Mixed precipitation will be possible today, mainly before 3 p.m., before another cold snap hits the areas this week.
KCRG-TV9 meteorologists say to expect a fairly light glaze of ice this morning, as freezing drizzle is pretty widespread. Some snow may be around as well as temperatures fall through the day.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon today. Snowfall accumulations will be minimal but will cause some slick spots. Looking ahead, another area of Arctic high pressure will settle overhead tonight and tomorrow, bringing a clear sky but colder weather.
By Thursday though, we are back in the melting snow and fog soup, with warmer temperatures arriving.
